Leading artificial intelligence companies have agreed to self-police their AI development under a voluntary White House agreement titled the White House Accord on Super Intelligence: A Joint Commitment on Frontier SI Responsibilities. US President Donald Trump announced the pact on Tuesday following a meeting with top technology executives in Washington. The agreement establishes a four-layer voluntary oversight framework involving internal controls, internal checking teams, independent external auditors, and dedicated board committees. The document was signed by Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, and xAI founder Elon Musk. President Trump also stated that the federal government is officially replacing the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence.
