Widower of American Soldier Killed in Iran Strike Presses JD Vance
· World · CBS News, Hindustan Times
Joey Amor, whose wife Master Sgt. Nicole Amor was killed in an Iranian drone attack in Kuwait, confronted Vice President JD Vance during a CBS News town hall over military leadership failures. Nicole Amor was among six service members killed on March 1 at an outpost in Kuwait's Port of Shuaiba, marking the deadliest attack on U.S. forces during the U.S.-Iran war. Joey Amor questioned the administration on accountability for mistakes that left the facility inadequately fortified and lacking drone defense capabilities. Vice President Vance acknowledged the tragic loss and admitted he was previously unaware of the specific security failures regarding troop placement and medical support. Vance promised to investigate the incident and noted that the administration has already begun altering military tactics to counter drone threats.
