Woman blames loud DJ noise for father's death, says family forced to leave home

Amid a political debate in Maharashtra over high-decibel sound systems ahead of Ganeshotsav, a woman in Pimpri-Chinchwad has alleged that festival noise forced her family to flee their home. Varsha Ganesh Kadam, a resident of Moshi, stated that extreme noise from DJ systems installed directly below her apartment severely affected her son and herself, both of whom suffer from seizures. Kadam recounted that last year, as her seriously ill father was being discharged from a hospital, festival organisers ignored her requests to lower the volume. Desperate to escape the noise, she attempted to take her father to their native village near Baramati, but a damaged road and bridge prevented an ambulance from reaching them in time. Her father ultimately died in her arms after the family had spent approximately Rs 15 lakh on his medical treatment.
