Woman Dies After Alleged Sexual Assault at Panipat Civil Hospital

A 58-year-old woman who alleged she was sexually assaulted by a security guard during a CT scan at Panipat Civil Hospital in Haryana died during treatment at PGIMS in Rohtak. The incident occurred while the woman, a heart and tuberculosis patient, was undergoing diagnostic tests. Panipat Police registered an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and arrested the accused security guard, who was employed by a private company operating CT scan and MRI services under a PPP model. Following the incident, health authorities issued instructions requiring a female attendant to be present during diagnostic procedures for female patients.
