Woman found dead in Lucknow; note with 4 names, 4-digit number recovered from bag
· India · Times of India, Hindustan Times
A 25-year-old woman identified as Asiya alias Tina from Safipur in Unnao was found dead under suspicious circumstances near the Kisan Path underpass in Lucknow's Dubagga area on Saturday night. Police discovered a handwritten note in her bag containing the names of four men and a four-digit number, and injury marks were visible on her face. Preliminary observations suggest she may have been strangled before her body was dumped along a service lane. A passerby alerted police around 9.30 pm, and an FIR was registered on Sunday under BNS sections related to murder and destruction of evidence.
Why it matters
The victim's family has alleged murder and evidence concealment, and police are scrutinising CCTV footage and the handwritten note to reconstruct her final movements and identify the suspects.
