A 34-year-old woman, Mugdha Deshmukh, was found dead in a rented apartment in Pune after her parents, who believed she was in London, tracked her food delivery transactions to India. Deshmukh had left for the UK in July 2025 for an MBA but secretly returned in August. Her family lost contact with her on October 24, after which her phone was switched off. London police confirmed she had left the UK in late August. Her father then checked bank statements, revealing food delivery transactions in India between October 8 and 25, including one in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar police traced her location to a complex in Gahunje, Pimpri Chinchwad, where she was found dead with no visible injury marks. Samples from her internal organs were preserved to determine the cause of death.
