A 32‑year‑old woman named Sudharani Nagendra Mudhol killed her husband, 32‑year‑old Nagendra Kashappa Mudhol, with an axe during a domestic dispute in Kodali village, Kalagi taluk, Kalaburagi district on Sunday. Nagendra, who had a drinking problem and often quarrelled with family, had threatened to kill their two children, aged six and eight, before the argument. Sudharani, in anger, struck him with an axe, causing fatal injuries that left him dead on the spot. She surrendered to Ratkal police, who have registered a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, following a complaint by the victim’s mother.
