World Mental Health Day Awareness Event To Be Held In Kozhikode

The Kerala branch of the Indian Psychiatric Society and the Kerala State Mental Health Authority will jointly observe World Mental Health Day at the IMA Hall in Kozhikode on Saturday. District Collector M.S. Madhavikutty will inaugurate the programme, which begins with an awareness session for nursing and psychology students. Dr. K. Amal will speak on depression, Dr. Rehna Kaladi on identifying and helping people with suicidal tendencies, and Dr. Jishnu Janardhanan on substance addiction. A discussion titled 'Let the voices of those with lived experience be heard' is also scheduled during the event. Around 100 psychiatrists from the district are expected to participate alongside students.
