Tony Yuhuai Wu, a co-founder of Elon Musk’s xAI, has reportedly purchased a luxury estate in Hillsborough, California, for US$70 million, approximately Rs 670 crore. The 12-acre property, known as Villa de Verano, features six bedrooms, a private nine-hole golf course, a 150-seat outdoor amphitheatre, and a 2,100-gallon saltwater aquarium. Wu, a China-born AI researcher, previously held positions at OpenAI and Google DeepMind before joining the founding team at xAI in 2023. His academic career includes a mathematics degree from the University of New Brunswick and a PhD in machine learning from the University of Toronto. The report notes that Wu has not publicly confirmed the real estate transaction.
