Xbox Tests Phone and Wi-Fi Controllers for Cloud Gaming
· Technology · Engadget, Android Authority, Gadgets360
Microsoft is testing two new controller options for Xbox Cloud Gaming starting this month. Users with supported smart TVs can use their phones as controllers through a browser interface without downloading an app. The Nano Controller connects via Wi-Fi to reduce latency, available in the US through the Xbox beta app on Android or Xbox Accessories app on PC. Both options are in preview with limited availability for now.
Why it matters
This provides Indian gamers without dedicated controllers a way to play on smart TVs, particularly benefiting those using affordable devices in regions where controllers are less accessible.
