Yamaha Launches YZF-R2 in India With Prices Starting at Rs 2.31 Lakh

Yamaha has launched the new YZF-R2 in India, expanding its supersport lineup across three variants. Prices start at Rs 2,30,500 for the standard R2, while the Quick Shifter variant is priced at Rs 2,39,500 and the flagship R2M costs Rs 2,53,000 ex-showroom. The motorcycle is powered by a new 204cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC single-cylinder engine generating 26.5 PS and 19.1 Nm of torque. Positioned above the R15 V4, the R2 features a high-tensile steel diamond frame, upside-down forks, and Yamaha Riding Control presets. The bike maintains a wet weight of 149 kg and includes a five-inch colour TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation.
