The Yemeni government launched 81 attacks against Houthi positions over the past 24 hours, resulting in the death of several fighters and field commanders. Simultaneously, the Houthi rebel group claimed to have struck an Aramco facility and a target at Najran airport in Saudi Arabia using drones. Fighting has intensified across the country's front lines over the last month, though neither side has initiated a large-scale offensive. The internationally recognised government, based in Aden, accused the Houthis of attempting to enforce a naval blockade and halting oil exports. This recent surge in violence follows a period of relative calm established by a 2022 United Nations-brokered truce.
