Bangladesh State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Ishraque Hossain conducted an armed raid on a suspected drug den near Gandaria Railway Station in Dhaka on Saturday. The minister was filmed carrying a pistol and a megaphone while confronting a group of individuals he accused of ruining the area. Hossain and his associates detained six people during the operation and subsequently handed them over to local police. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed they were not informed of the raid beforehand and only learned of the incident after it occurred. Local officers later recovered a powder from the detainees, which is currently undergoing testing to determine if it is an illicit substance.
