Zillow has reached a settlement with the Federal Trade Commission to resolve an antitrust lawsuit regarding its business practices with competitor Redfin. The legal dispute centered on a $100 million agreement that effectively blocked Redfin from operating its internet listing service for apartment rentals for up to nine years. Under the terms of the settlement, Redfin is required to re-enter the market and launch a service with expanded listing options. The original lawsuit, filed in September 2025, was later joined by attorneys general from Arizona, Connecticut, New York, Virginia, and Washington.
